Project Description

The project entailed the construction of a residential and commercial mixed used scheme comprising 133 number residential units, in 2 number six storey blocks of private flats and 2 number six storey blocks of shared ownership/rented, and I number commercial block.


Scope of Works

We were engaged by Sisk as a domestic Sub-Contractor on an amended form of sub-contract, JCT Design & Build 2011 without any permanent works design responsibility. The basement temporary works were designed and installed by us.


The scope of works comprised reduce level dig excavation including site waste management and the removal of contaminated spoil, installation of piling mat and piling works attendance, excavation of a large basement, installation of temporary works, construction of reinforced concrete foundations and basement, installation of under-slab drainage, site-wide drainage and services incorporating surface water attenuation tanks and pumps, construction of undercroft car parking areas including tarmacadam works, construction of a shared RC podium transfer slab to all blocks and the construction of 4 number RC six storey low rise blocks including RC cores.




The scope of works entailed:

  • Bulk excavation and reduce level dig
  • Site waste management and non-hazardous contaminated spoil disposal
  • Piling mat installation and piling attendance
  • Design and installation of temporary works to the existing street elevation along Ladbroke Grove
  • Large basement excavation
  • Site logistics management
  • Provision of tower crane attendance personnel
  • Under-slab drainage
  • Site wide drainage and services
  • Storm water attenuation tanks and pump chambers
  • RC Substructures
  • RC Basement
  • Waterproofing systems
  • Undercroft carpark construction
  • Tarmacadam base course installation in order to facilitate falsework propping for the podium slab
  • RC podium transfer slab / deck – 2500m2
  • 4 number blocks, 6 storey high, low rise RC Frames
  • Second visit for the completion of the final drainage connections, tarmacadam surface wearing course and line marking to the undercroft carpark and for the construction of RC Stairs from podium level up to street level.

All of the works were completed on programme.
