The project entailed the construction of 5 number blocks of terraced housing and 2 number blocks of 6 storey low rise reinforced concrete frames forming 36 number houses and 26 number flats.
We were engaged by Durkan as a domestic sub-contractor on an amended form of Sub-Contract, NEC 3 Engineering and Construction. We supplied a tower crane and attendant crane personnel to Durkan for this project.
The scope of works comprised reduced level dig, installation of a piling mat and piling attendance to the RC frame blocks, site waste management and removal of spoil from site, excavation and pouring mass concrete foundations up to 3.0m deep for the terraced housing blocks, substructure brickwork up to air brick level and precast concrete block and beam flooring to five terraced housing blocks, RC foundations and RC core, underslab drainage, site-wide drainage and services, deep drainage and 278 works connecting into existing estate drainage, two number low rise RC Frames, 6 storeys high, one RC core, 6 storeys high, interlinking steel bridge between the RC Blocks with metal decking and structural concrete topping, external works to front and rear gardens and the formation of a new road within the estate.
